Republicans are voting for Obama

The Chairman of the Board of my company just voted Obama. I was shocked to learn this because he is a pretty staunch Republican. He has written a couple of posts about why he has voted Democrat on his blog Bear on Business.

I’m hearing this more and more from friends and associates who are long term Republicans. Basically they are saying with unanimity that the last 8 years of fiscal irresponsibility and record breaking deficits have made them believe that it’s time for a change in direction and they just don’t feel that McCain represents this.

I’m heartened by this. I hope more people feel the same and see Obama as the kind of change we want and need.
